Beautiful bathrooms – what’s hot in the hotel industry right now

If you haven’t already noticed, hotel bathrooms are big deals in the hotels industry now with guests seeking opulence in greater and great quantities. To be even more specific, the bath is becoming the focus and the star of hotel bathrooms now and especially in the luxury sector.

Baths have most definitely made a resurgence in recent years. Today’s business and leisure guests expect large bathrooms filled with large, sumptuous baths and a separate, walk in shower.

But it is the location of baths in hotel rooms these days that is causing a stir and definitely breaking room the norm of years previous. Baths are now found beside windows in the main room area and beside beds. Yes, the locations are not to everyone’s taste but it has to be agreed that it makes for a dramatic focus within a hotel room.

An article on the Daily Mail website highlighted this trend “From glass tree houses in Botswana to £15,000-a-night infinity tubs in Paris: The world’s most luxurious hotel bathrooms revealed”. Stunning locations in general with equally as stunning baths and bathrooms. But you don’t need to visit far flung, exotic destinations to experience bathing heaven, the UK is following the trend too and with some luxurious examples. More importantly, more affordable.

luxury lake district hotels

The Four Seasons, Hong Kong and Brimstone Spa and Duet Suites

The Lake District is as far removed from the likes of Paris, Hong Kong and London as it’s possible to be but for wow views over spectacular scenery and the new design led interiors being seen in the hotels here, it could be said they can rival these cityscape hotels in the bathroom stakes.

And examples can quite easily be seen of this and no more so than at Brimstone Lake District Hotel at Langdale. Special focus and design has been spent on the bathrooms and the positioning of the baths within the rooms especially in the case of the Spa and Duets Suites. Both suites integrate the bath or baths within the main hotel room to make the most of the views but also have a separate bathroom for those who prefer to bath privately.
But what is definitely different about these luxurious Lake District bathrooms is the price which is not £3,165 per person per night as at the Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong and most definitely not £15,000 per night as at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris. Spa and Duet Suites at Brimstone are £425. Rooms are exclusively booked through the Brimstone Hotel website here And book 30 days or more in advance and receive a 20% discount.
